My Best Friend
I met up with Christine this Friday and was given a tongue lashing for not including her in my postings... So this is for you Christine. Love ya, Hotchic!
I have known Christine since sophomore year in High School, even though we weren't friends. We became friends at the end of junior year in HS and have been together since. Senior year we tore-up our school and had an absolute blast. Of course, we did things that were socially acceptable, and not at all taboo, but we still thought that we were the most bad-ass girls that Manassas had ever seen. We were the shit, and everyone knew it.
She left to go to Boston for college the following year, and I went to Virginia Tech. We kept in touch, even visited each other. I have very fond memories of waking up in Boston, not knowing where I was or how I got there, without Christine in sight. She taught me a lot in Boston (including how to make Margaritas, take a body shot, and how to play strip poker), and I stayed drunk for 4 straight days that May in 2000 - and it was the best 4 days of my life. I can still remember the look on my parents face when I got off the plane at the end of the trip, still drunk and a little hung-over... I don't think my Dad was ever as proud as he was that day...
We have been through everything together, including the deaths of those close to us. She has been my rock, and I hope I have been hers. Thanks for always being there, babe!
